Anything and everything someone could ask for, the staff can take care of. Unload and valet cars? Yes! Carry your luggage? Absolutely. And that’s just the beginning.
Once you step foot on the island our guest service staff will unload your luggage and carry it to your cabin, allowing you to immediately start living the island life—relaxed, carefree, and completely taken care of.
Cabin Creature Comforts
Your cabin is fully stocked with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Each cabin features a fully-equipped kitchen, including everything from wine glasses and silverware to baking pans and a blender.
Just ask, and the staff are happy to provide any extra linens, pack & plays, high chairs, booster seats, extra blankets, or anything else that might make your stay more comfortable.
For those cool nights, we make sure you stay cozy and have pre-stocked your cabin with firewood, fire starts, and matches. Feel free to build as many fires as you like because our staff will stop by daily to restock firewood outside your cabin door.
Groceries For Your Stay
With a fully-supplied kitchen, the gourmand in you can let loose. You can bring groceries from home or just bring a few specialty items you love and we can supply the rest. We have a small grocery store on the island or you can shop at the local grocery store, only eight miles away from the resort.
Lake Leisures
While canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and boards, and hydrobikes are included in your stay, you can also rent fishing boats, deck boats, and pontoons which our staff will have gassed up and ready to head out on Lake Vermilion for whatever adventure you have in mind.
Tubing with the kids? We’ll get everything set up, including life jackets and additional safety prep and tips on the best places around the lake.
Fishing at Ludlow's
Hoping to take advantage of the incredible fishing on Vermilion? We’re happy to set you up with an expert fishing guide to take you out on either a 2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, or 8-hour guided excursion.
Before you head out on the water our head of guest services, Michael, will get you properly kitted up with everything you need for a successful fishing trip from our own Ludlow’s Island Bait and Tackle Shop. And whether you reel in a walleye, crappie, or bass, we’re happy to clean and filet your catch and cook it to perfection with a special Ludlow’s recipe.
Bring Your Own Boat
Guests are also welcome to bring their own boat to the Island. Just let us know prior to your arrival and we’ll reserve a covered slip for you.
For a seamless, relaxing vacation experience, we’ll gladly launch your boat, provide covered dockage with electricity, and provide storage for your boat trailer.
