But, with each cabin offering its own charm and amenities, we put together this guide to help you decide on the cabin that fits exactly what you need. Because you’re on vacation, the most difficult decision you should make is how many swimsuits to pack! 

Fun with the Family

Bringing along grandma, your favorite aunt, and even Fido in tow? Coffeetime, Stardust, Twilight, and Northstar cabins all comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests with up to five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

In Coffeetime, gather the family on the newly updated decks and screened-in porch for dinner. Then, wind down in the evening next to the wood-burning fireplace. Stardust, as the name might imply, is perfect for stargazers. Just 15 feet from the water’s edge, Stardust offers gorgeous sunset views and a wide-open expanse of night sky.

Northstar cabin is especially great for the kids with a unique suspended bedroom on the upper floor that overlooks the main living area. Definitely a fun room for the kids to create their own adventures without even leaving the cabin. And you know Northstar is an excellent choice for families, as it was actually the Ludlow family’s former home!

If you don’t quite need so much space and are just bringing the immediate family, Evergreen and Wakemup cabins are great choices. Evergreen fits up to six guests and offers its own private beach that’s perfect for the kids (and adults!) to really let loose and have fun in the water.

Wakemup also accommodates up to six people, and one of its best features is tons of space with its own expansive yard and beach. Plus, Wakemup is one of our pet-friendly cabins, meaning your pup will have plenty of room to play. 

Romantic Retreat

If you’re planning a getaway with your special someone, Sundown and Northshore cabins set the scene for romance. Sundown offers some of the best views of sunsets over Lake Vermilion. Cozy up on the deck or in the west-facing screened porch at sunset for a spectacular view with your favorite person.

Northshore is one of the most popular cabins for couples. It’s tucked back away from the shoreline among giant white pines, offering unmatched privacy and your own secluded oasis. Plus, Northshore also offers a two-person whirlpool tub with fantastic lake views.

Nature Lover

For those looking to escape into nature and reset from the daily hustle and bustle, you’ll want to stay in Dawn, Birches, or Bayside cabins.

Dawn sits at the water’s edge with a stairway leading down to a small deck. Perfect for those who love the lake life and the calming lapping of the waves. Not to mention prime views for spotting loons.

One of Birches’s great features is its immediate access to our hiking trails, making it easy to get up early and get out in nature as soon as you’d like! As one of our pet-friendly cabins, your furry family member will love the easy access to the trails, too! One other highlight of Birches is its sauna. Get a great schvitz and leave all your day-to-day worries behind.

Lastly, Bayside cabin offers close-up encounters with nature. Situated next to a small bay, you’ll spot waterfowl, beaver, mink, and plenty of deer. You can also head down to Bayside’s private dock for a little fishing. 

The Friend Getaway

Bringing the whole crew? Northside and Dreamcatcher cabins won’t disappoint. Northside has plenty of space with beautiful, vaulted ceilings, offering a great setting to catch up with your buddies. Plus, the cabin is fully equipped with a private sauna and washer-dryer.

One of our most unique cabins (yes, it’s definitely the Instagrammable one!) is Dreamcatcher. With four floors, this treehouse-like cabin offers plenty of room to gather and individual spaces to retreat to after the day together. Each floor of Dreamcatcher is its own unique getaway. The first and fourth floors boast outdoor decks, second-floor guests enjoy a whirlpool bath, and the third floor showcases stunning floor-to-ceiling glass panels. 

Weekend Wanderers

For those slipping away just for a night or a weekend, Sun Up cabin is a great choice. You’ll have everything you need without the unnecessary amenities like a washer-dryer for just a day or two away. This cozy cabin is only 30 feet from the water, with spectacular views of the sunrise and a beautiful stone fireplace to keep warm when the sun goes down.
