Extraordinary Minnesota Golf Courses

Ludlow’s Island Resort is a short drive away from some of the most unique and scenic golf courses in the state. Let our staff know that you’re here to golf and we can set up a tee time for you and any local course.

Just a chip shot down the road from Ludlow’s is The Wilderness at Fortune Bay, a spectacular course that offers stunning, panoramic views of Lake Vermilion atop high granite ridges. GolfWeek put The Wilderness at the top of its 2010 Best Courses You Can Play list.

Right next to it on the list is The Quarry and The Legend at Giants Ridge, two sister courses carved out amidst the area’s incredible pines and, in the case of The Quarry, forged from the region’s mining history. Both courses consistently land on lists of the best public golf courses in the country.

A short drive past Cook, Minn. takes you to Wolfridge Golf Course, a one-of-a-kind golfing experience. Aside from its rugged terrain, Wolfridge stands out as one of only four reversible golf courses in the state. You really can’t play this course the same way two days in a row!

If you’re looking for a quick round, Vermilion Fairways is a 9-hole regulation course just outside of Cook. You’ll see their signage on your way to Ludlow’s Resort. This course is a great place to take the whole family for a fun golf outing.
